SLIDING GLASS PET DOORQuick Panel III
The Quick Panel III is identical to the Thermo Panel III with the exception of the glass. The Quick Panel III uses single pane glass, and the Thermo Panel III has dual pane. This newest panel pet door is all about the flap. This new door uses the Endura flap (click here for more flap info), which is super durable and very weather tight. It has been tested beyond 1,000,000 cycles without a failure!!! The key to its durability is that it swings on bushings at the top. instead of flexing at the top like a typical soft vinyl flap, this pivot allows the door to swing without wear and tear. This new Endura flap is available in taller sizes than most other pet doors. This means that it is easier to fit multiple dogs, as the flap can be lower to the ground and yet still be tall enough for a larger dog at the same time. This high "aspect ratio" has the side benefit that this new panel takes up less room in your sliding glass door. In addition to the taller flap, this door also has a user adjustable rise. This means that the pet door height can be changed. This is the only pet door on the market to offer this feature. For a pet with short legs the flap can be installed as low as 3" off the ground. For taller dogs the flap can be as high as 9" (note picture to right). The Quick Panel III has a spring loaded top and is a no tools installation. A clamp on lock that grabs the track behind the sliding door provides security. The Quick Panel III is constructed with an extra rigid thick wall aluminum extrusion. Available in White, Bronze, and Satin (aluminum). Custom sizes - Custom doors are final sales. We encourage customers to call our customer service department to determine the necessary size. For windows please be sure that the track is at least 1" wide to accept the heavy duty framing. The color sample on the right will vary with your particular monitor, and the colors of the pet doors vary slightly by manufacturer, but it is shown to give an approximate idea of the colors available. Satin is actually a brushed aluminum, similar to the bottom of a soda can. Quick Panel III doors include a "bug warden" screen adapter. This piece allows the screen door to close against the pet door with no gap, so you can leave the slider open and still allow your pets to use the pet door. If your door measures slightly taller than the top of one of the adjustment ranges, you may need a 3/4" height extension. This is a piece of the pet door framing cut to fit, and it just sets into the top of the pet door and does not need to be screwed in. Sometimes a door is a little bit taller than the top end of one of the adjustment ranges. These height extensions allow for a cheap and easy solution instead of having to order a custom, non-refundable pet door.
