These pet doors are made with the same materials as
the Thermo Panel II, and are spring loaded for easier installation. This is
usually used for cats, but can be utilized for dogs assuming the window
is low enough or a ramp is utilized. The Small/Medium
size is available in an electronic version (white only). The electronic Thermo Sash uses the Large Cat size Ani Mate electronic pet door. For more info on how the electronic door works, read its product description here.
Please take into consideration the size of the window as it relates
to the locking cover. If you buy an extra large size Thermo Sash, the
locking cover will be about 25 inches tall. You will need to have 25
inches available above the pet door to ensure that you can slide the
locking cover in from the top. The Small Medium size has a
flap which locks to the frame, so it has no locking covers.
Side to side windows will not work with the Thermo
Sash, but the Thermo Panel III and Quickfit III sliding glass door models
can be custom ordered for such situations.
The color sample on the
right will vary with your particular monitor, and the colors of the
pet doors vary slightly by manufacturer, but it is shown to give
an approximate idea of the colors available. Satin is actually a
brushed aluminum, similar to the bottom of a soda can. The Small Medium size is only available in white.
