This newest pet door for wall has a very interesting flap. The flap is a thermally insulated heavy canvas rather than the traditional vinyl. The bottom of the flap has a polycarbonate protector which will deter pets from chewing on the flap. This means that the flap is not see through, it is completely opaque. The flap also has a full length magnet down each side and across the bottom as well. It's strong magnets make it very resistant to wind. The manufacturer has a short video of this door in action being tested and standing up to a leaf blower! Due to the strong magnetic attraction of the flaps small or timid dogs may have trouble pushing this door open. In that case you might consider the Hale Pet Door or the Dogwalk as an alternative. The white frame fits standard 1 3/4" thick doors.
