This custom pet door is exactly the same as the Hale Pet Door for walls, but can be custom fit to your specific needs. Cost is figured by the size of the rough opening that you
are filling. Start by measuring the size of the hole in the wall, the rough opening, to determine what the cost will be. As an example, let's assume the hole is 12" x 12". Multiply
the width of the opening by the height of the opening to obtain the
size of the opening in square inches. A 12" x 12" opening is 144 square
inches. Then choose the size whose range includes your measurement,
in this case a 137 to 170 inch.
Your actual flap dimension will be roughly 2" inches narrower and 2" shorter
than the pane of glass or the rough opening. So again using a 12" x
12" example, the flap size will be about 10" x 10".
Wall mounted pet doors are sometimes installed under a window sill or cabinet or other obstruction that prevents the locking cover from sliding in on top. If this is the case for you, you can order a sideways sliding locking cover instead of a top loading locking cover. When you go through the ordering process you can state whether you want the locking cover to slide in on the left, right, or the top.
The color sample on the right will vary with your particular
monitor, and the colors of the pet doors vary slightly by manufacturer,
but it is shown to give an approximate idea of the colors available.
Satin is actually a brushed aluminum, similar to the bottom of a soda
can.
