Door and Window Cat Door
Cat doors have
most of the same features that dog doors do in general, but cat doors
are generally smaller in size for obvious reasons. Every cat door we sell
swings in both directions, letting your cat both in and out. Cat doors
sometimes have "4 way" locks, which can be set for In-only, Out-only,
Locked or Open. This is a feature that is common to cat doors and uncommon
in dog doors. A window cat door is also an easy and favorite cat door solution.
The general trend in pet doors is that cat doors
tend to come with rigid flaps and dog doors tend to come with soft flaps.
Cats can use both rigid or soft flaps equally well. Even a small cat can
use a surprisingly large dog door, so for those pet owners with both cats
and dogs should take this into consideration. If you have an inside cat
and want to let your dog out, consider an electronic automatic dog door. Staywell, Hale, and Plexidor are just a few of the brands we carry.
We carry many different brands of dog doors including
Hale Security, Plexidor, Thermo Panel II, Quick Panel II, Pet Safe Classic,
Ideal and Ideal Ruff Weather, Dog Mate Dog Door, Staywell, Johnson and Pride. There
are many cat doors to choose from, and sometimes narrowing the field
down can be confusing. Should you get the Ideal pet door for wall installation or an automatic dog door for your french door? Start by deciding on where to install the cat door
in the building, then look at the corresponding section on the menu to
the left. For a window cat door, you would select WINDOW MOUNT. For a pet door for wall installation, you would select WALL MOUNT.

your needs the first time around.
