The Pride Pet door is available in 4 sizes and has a 2 piece black rubber flap. It is a good value for the money, but not as weather tight as some of the more expensive pet doors. It is very close in design and performance to the old Johnson pet doors, so if you have a Johnson pet door that needs replacing, and were comfortable with the Johnson's level of insulation, the Pride is a good choice.
Because it is not self framing, we do not recommend this pet door for installation in hollow core doors. The flaps are generally long lasting, but the two piece design can be a problem if you have more than one pet. We suggest a single piece flap for that situation (even if you get a double flap with two single piece flaps). The Endura is particularly well suited to lots of abuse.
Because of the two piece flaps, this door is requires a larger hole and has a larger frame than most doors with the same size opening. We list the smallest opening that the pet has to get through as the flap dimension, the outside of the flap will be larger than the dimension shown in the table.
