This dual pane dual flap Hale pet door fits
in a vertical sliding window (aka sash window, double hung window).
This unit has an end which telescopes about 1.5 inches to fit into
the track just like a window fan or air conditioner. Minimum track
thickness must be at least 1" to accomodate the thick framing on this
pet door. The picture shows the pet door with the locking cover halfway
slid in. If you are looking for a window mount pet door, they
don't get any better than the Hale Security door. If you need an electronic cat door for your window, take a look at the Thermo Sash II. For a simpler and less expensive single pane, single flap door try the Ideal Fast Sash.
The color sample on the
right will vary with your particular monitor, and the colors of the
pet doors vary slightly by manufacturer, but it is shown to give
an approximate idea of the colors available. Satin is actually a
brushed aluminum, similar to the bottom of a soda can.
This
is a custom made pet door, so it is
non- refundable. It takes 2-3
weeks for delivery from the
order date. We require three measurements
from your window to complete
the order. Measurement
A is the maximum opening
height of the window. Measurement
B is the tricky one. If you think of the tracks as two U shapes that face each other, then we want the measurement from the bottom of the U on one side to the tip of the U on the other side. Measurement
C is the thickness of the
track. The track must be
at least 1" thick to accomodate
the heavy duty framing on
this pet door. We also
need to know which side to
mount the flaps on. The side
is determined from the inside
looking out. Simply state "right" or "left" for
value D in the ordering process.
